CNC Automation

Toolpath is a web-based CNC manufactuing automation tool. I began working on Toolpath in August 2021, building a prototype and then going on to be one of the first employees.

Building Toolpath introduced me to a number of challenges, like visualizing parts in a 3D space using Three.js, virtualizing large lists of tools and specific domain challenges like representing complex machining strategies, DFM feedback, geometry warnings, and orders of operations.

In addition to full-stack development with Next.js, I spent the first few years designing most of the application. I collaborated closely with the engine team and the founders to create a user-friendly experience that would appeal to both seasoned machinists and beginners.
